Georgia is an empowering and warm therapist who uses a person-centred approach to support her clients. She trained in psychology to meet the needs of those with chronic illness, mental health conditions and persistent pain after seeing the extensive need within the community during her time working within the disability space. Georgia works within a strengths-based model and is client led, ensuring goals are in line with an individual’s needs and values.
She has experience in a variety of presentations, such as oncology, chronic disease, depression, and anxiety. Her special interests are chronic illness, persistent pain, grief, and adjustment to injury counselling. Georgia uses a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema, and mindfulness-based approaches. Her use of holistic care ensures that each client receives tailored therapy to meet specific needs.
Georgia is open and collaborative and strives to create a safe environment for clients to explore and make meaning during some of lives hardest moments.
