Appointments are Required
Unless it is an emergency e.g Chest pain, difficulty breathing, bleeding.
Please advise the receptionist if you feel the problem is urgent.
The receptionist are available from 7.00 am Monday & Fridays, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7.20am to take calls. An appointment is approximately 15 minutes long, if you have several problems you wish to discuss please let the receptionist know that you need a longer appointment when making the booking.
Cancellations
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please advise us with as much notice as possible.
Arriving at the Centre
Please see the receptionist so she can assess your needs and “check” you in. Please let the reception staff know if there are any changes to your personal details e.g mobile phone number or address.
We run an appointment system to minimise waiting time. However delays can occur due unforeseen circumstances such as emergencies. We ask that you be patient, and we will endeavour to keep you update to date with time frames.
Home Visits
After Hours Doctor Service
Medical help after hours is available by phoning Hello Home Doctors Service on 134100. The After-Hours service provides doctors home visits, with a report sent to your regular doctor the following day. The Prince Charles Hospital or Brisbane Northside Emergency are available to our patients, they are located at Rode Road, Chermside West.

Fees and Billing
Fees are payable at the time of consultation
- Standard consultation - $85.00 rebate $42.85
- Long consultation - $130.00 rebate $82.90
- Extended Consult - $175.00 rebate $122.15
- Pensioners (aged over 65) - Bulk billed * at doctors discretion
- All children under the age of 12 years are bulk billed
- DVA Gold card holders - Bulk billed
- Discounted rates apply to those in possession of a Pension or Healthcare card
- Concession consultation standard $75.00 rebate $42.85
- Concession consultation long $120.00 rebate $82.90
- Concession consultation extended $165.00 rebate $122.15
- Scripts $15.00, Referrals $20.00 if you have not seen a Doctor within two weeks
- Transfer of Medical Records $20.00 plus gst
- Procedures, dressings, plasters and bandages may incur a consumable fee

Cancelled Appointments
Fees will apply for appointments that are cancelled with less than 2 hours notice and for missed appointments. $80.00

Dr Rosemary Powell
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Powell interest in general practice is women's health, paediatric, aged care and travel medicine. She also works part time in Private Hospitals as a Surgical Assistant.
Dr Matthew Lincoln (is not accepting new patients at this time)
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Lincoln's goal is to provide comprehensive and quality medical care to the families in the local area. His main interest being lifestyle factors in health, skin cancer and minor procedures. Dr Lincoln also works part time in Private Hospitals as a Surgical Assistant.
Dr Chong Eng Ong
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Ong is interested in all areas of General & Internal medicine.
Dr Sukesh Bansal
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Bansal is interested in all aspects of general practice including paediatrics. Men's health and preventative health care and travel medicine.
Dr Nalini Thimmanna
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Thimmanna is a fellow of the RACGP whose practice is to achieve the best patient outcomes with compassionate attitude.
She loves all aspects of General Practice with an interest in paediatrics, womens health, general medicine, adolescent health, chromic disease management and mental health.
Outside Medicine she likes spending time listening to music and travelling.
Dr Mario Baek
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Baek has a special interest in skin lesion management and excision. His other interest include Venesection.
Dr Kavitha Arulanandam
MBBS, FRACGP
Dr Kavitha is a well-liked GP. She has been a GP for over 10 years now. Like most primary care physicians, she is experienced in the treatment and management of various chronic medical conditions. She enjoys all aspects of family medicine and loves getting to know each of her patients. Dr Kavitha has a special interest in Women's and children's health. She completed her primary medical qualification in 2003. She did her internship at the Mount Gambier Hospital in SA and has worked at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in SA, and Monash Medical Centre, VIC before moving to Darwin in 2010. She obtained her Fellowship in General Practice in 2013. She has family in Brisbane and she moved to Brisbane in 2020 to be closer to her family.
She has gained clinical acumen in Internal Medicine, Emergency medicine, Surgery, Mental Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology as well as Paediatrics. She is also committed to educating medical students and GP Reigstrars. Languages spoken English and Tamil.
The Hypermarket Medical Centre has nursing staff available Monday through to Friday.
